Tom was also a former resident of West Bridgewater, MA and Selma, AL. Kathy was an avid swimmer and had accumulated many swimming medals. He was a loving father and loving brother. She leaves her adored children, Carol Burgess and life partner,(Jayne Heselton) of Portland., Daniel and(Elizabeth) Burgess of Waterville, Ann and (Sean) Petty of Windham and her 7 angels: Taylor, Alex, Devin, Drew, Jadon and Cole. He served in the Korean War as an army pilot and radio operator serving in Alaska during which time he developed a love of flying that he pursued in later years. Lewiston-Jeannette L. Morin, 92, of Spring St. Auburn, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2006 at Central Maine Medical Center. He attended Bath schools and was a graduate of Boston University. Portland-Betty J. Smith, 58, of Mae Lane Topsham, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Maine Medical Center. She is survived by three sons, Jeffery D. of Dixfield, William P. wife Patricia and sons Andrew and Brian of Somerset NJ, Robert J. wife Katherine and son Robert of North Reading, MA and her daughter Patricia A. and son Corey of Saco. All of this was gradually and irrevocably taken from her by Alzheimer's Disease, in the grip of which, over the last decade of her life, she slipped further and further away from everything and everyone she had ever cared about, with her accustomed gentleness of spirit. Cheryl also held a very special place in her hear. She was known as a magnetic force; friends, family and strangers gravitated to her. Helen was the daughter of Richard and Amelda (Myers) Parker, one of ten children in a blended family of brothers, sisters and step-siblings.
